Vertigo AI

Effective date: April 30, 2026

Vertigo AI is an educational and wellness app for dizziness, BPPV routines, balance tracking, and AI-powered informational guidance. It is not a medical device and does not provide a medical diagnosis.

What data Vertigo AI uses

  • On-device entries you create, including symptom descriptions, episode logs, balance-test results, and app preferences.
  • Subscription status from Apple for Pro access.
  • Per-feature AI consent choices stored on your device.

What is sent to Google LLC

Nothing is sent to any third-party AI provider until you explicitly grant in-app consent for a specific AI feature.

  • Symptom Scan: the symptom description you typed.
  • Vertigo Coach: the question you typed plus a short on-device summary of recent episodes.

These requests are sent to Google LLC through the Google Gemini API endpoint at generativelanguage.googleapis.com so Vertigo AI can return general educational information in the app.

Your control

  • AI features are opt-in and gated by an in-app consent sheet.
  • You can revoke consent at any time in Home → gear icon → Privacy & Sources.
  • The app does not operate its own remote server for storing your health-related entries.

Data retention

Your logs, preferences, and local app state remain on your device unless you delete the app or clear them yourself. Third-party AI requests are processed by Google according to Google’s own policies.

Children

Vertigo AI is not directed to children under 13.
